She was born in Kingman, Alberta and spent her early years in Calgary before joining Canadian Army Postal Corp. She was assigned to work in Montreal and it was there that she met her husband, John (Jack) King who was from Trail. They married on May 30 , 1944 and moved back to Trail where Mom was happy to stay for the rest of her years.
